You’ve created a great course, but now you need a way to let people know about it. Most of the tutors may use a tutoring agency but it costs commission which can be a huge percentage of your income! That’s where landing pages come in.
A landing page is the first thing potential students see when visiting your site. Build your landing page and promote it on social media channels like Facebook and Twitter.
By providing the full content of information your audience requires without overburdening them with options or irrelevant details, you can improve their user experience.
The greatest advantage is: It’s not hard to do. So… Which one is the best landing page tool?
Tip 1: Create a landing page that includes everything you need to know, from benefits to payment methods.
Your landing page should be the final destination of your marketing efforts. With it, you’ll be able to provide a clear overview of your course.
What should I know before creating a landing page for my tutoring class?
- The benefits of taking that course (and why these benefits are important for your students)
- Pricing information and duration of the course
- The payment methods available (including when they will expire)
If someone has decided this could benefit them, they will only want some of their hard work going down the drain because they only read through some of the fine print before signing up.
Tip 2: Don’t copy and paste text from other pages.
You should always write your copy. When creating a sales page, copying and pasting the text from other pages on your site is tempting.
This is especially true if you’re using a landing page builder like ClickFunnels or LeadPages, where you can easily paste in content from another source.
But don’t do this! It’s not only lazy, but it also makes you look unprofessional and untrustworthy.
Your customers want to know they’re getting quality information when they sign up for an online course—so give it to them.
Tip 3: Build a lead-generating site with this template, which you can update for each new course you create.
What should you include in a landing page?
1. Include a video. A well-made video can be one of your biggest assets in attracting students, so it should be included on your landing page.
2. Ensure the video is short and to the point—no more than two minutes long unless you have some compelling footage to be seen.
3. Include testimonials and reviews. Testimonials help prospective students see what other people think about your course, which will encourage them to enroll as well! You can also include reviews from previous students on sites like Amazon or Udemy (make sure they’re positive).
4. Include a call-to-action button (“Enroll Now” or “Learn More”). This button should take the visitor to an enrollment form where they can sign up for your course immediately.
5. Put your email and phone number in there (if applicable). Most people prefer talking with someone over email versus calling them, but if both options are available, give them both.

If you want to make the buying process even easier, include a call-to-action button at the bottom of each page that says “Sign Up Now.”
This way, students don’t have to click on several different pages; they can click one button and fill out their information right there!
Tip 5: Be sure to include your email address in the site’s footer.
You should also include your email address in the site’s footer, as this is one of the most effective places to collect emails from students.
Suppose you need an email service provider, Mailchimp, for its ease of use and free plan.
With Mailchimp, you can send out regular updates about your course and encourage students to share their success stories with others.
Tip 6: Print a set of business cards for your students so they can call you with any questions about the course.
If you want to communicate with your pupils and conveniently give them your contact information, business cards are a great option.
Business cards can be printed at any office supply store or home and are available as blank paper stock or with designs pre-printed on them (like our example above).
Other than printing the card itself, there’s no real preparation involved—write down your contact information on one side of the card, then turn it over and put whatever branding elements you want on the backside!
You can customize some elements using online templates or design programs like Photoshop.
Tip 7: Keep things basic and start with the end in mind.

Start with the end in mind: what kind of student are you looking for? Who is it that will gain the most from your course?
This is important because it dictates how you position yourself and your course on your landing page.
For example, if I were trying to sell a course on how to play the guitar and I knew that my target audience was people who wanted to learn how to play the guitar so they could perform in their church worship band with confidence, I might make sure my content reflected this goal.
If it’s hard for someone who doesn’t know anything about your field or industry to understand what exactly makes them qualified enough or interesting enough for people like them (the ones who would find themselves attracted by those qualities), then maybe one way around this problem is simply putting up an FAQ page or some other form of site-wide help section where those questions can be answered clearly before anyone starts browsing through courses.
Another way around it is using testimonials from previous students who have successfully used similar methods as those found in each class (and maybe even interviews with these folks too)!
Tip 8: Focus on what’s important to your students.
When you write a landing page, you must remember that your audience wants to know why they should care about your product or service and how it will benefit them.
This can be a little tricky because of all the different courses, so you must focus on what makes your course special and different from others in the market.
Tip 9: Create a simple sales funnel.
A sales funnel is a process for getting people to take action. It’s the same way you would open a restaurant and try to get people in the door.
You have to create a menu, promote it, advertise it, and then wait until someone comes through your door before you can start making money.
In online courses, this process looks similar: You need to create an enticing landing page where students will sign up for your course (the entrance), then send them emails that motivate them outside of their inboxes (the middle) and finally guide them into taking action on whatever step in their learning journey they’re at now.

When writing the body copy of your landing page, make sure to avoid these common mistakes:
It is intended for readers to read the headline and exclaim, “Oh!” as soon as they see it. So, keep it simple.
Use only a few punctuation marks in your headlines or body copy (not even exclamation points). The reason is that they take up space and away from what you’re trying to say with that sentence or paragraph.
It’s best not to use any at all!
Only capitalize some words in the headline or first sentence(s) in paragraphs below it; this makes them harder for readers’ eyes to follow when scanning through text on screen (which is what most do when visiting an unfamiliar website).
Tip 12: Give bullet points about what the course covers and why it’s valuable.
Bullet points are a popular way to present information. They’re short and to the point, easy to understand, read, and scan.
How to make my tutoring class description effective?
- Use clear language that is simple for people with no background in the subject (so if you’re writing about something technical like Excel formulas, use words like “formulas” instead of “VBA macros”)
- Make sure your sentences are complete sentences (and not fragments)
Tip 13: Select a video to put on the landing page.
The video you choose should be relevant to your course and include a link in the video’s description and the description of your landing page and course.
Especially for teaching jobs in HK, a video differentiates you well from others.
Tip 14: Include testimonials and reviews of your course.
Testimonials and reviews are some of your most powerful assets. They will tell students everything they need to know about the course.
But how do you get testimonials and reviews?
